What is Cold Process Soap?

Hand made soap produced through the saponification of oils which does not utilize the addition of adding heat thus maintaining the fragile compounds contained within the ingredients.

What is Saponification & Why is Soap Aged 4-6 weeks?

Saponification is the creation of soap by combining Lye (Sodium Hydroxide), Water, & Oils. The soap is aged 4-6 weeks which converts the lye and oil mix into SOAP, leaving no lye behind. During this time moisture content also decreases forming a hardened, safe, beautiful bar of soap. Most commercial products labeled "soap", especially liquid types, are created using synthetic chemicals, surfactants, preservatives, paragons & other chemicals that are damaging to your skin, life, and the environment.

Storing Your Cold Process Soap

- Soap should be kept dry when not in use. Ensure your soap does not sit in water or sit in a high moisture area as it will become soggy. Soap trays with good drainage, soap savers, & other such items will ensure your bar stays hard and provides weeks of usage.

- When traveling with your soap, be sure to dry the bar between uses and place in a travel case.

Shampoo Bar Usage

Shampoo bars work just as well as liquid shampoo without the added preservatives. There are a few adjustments to be aware of to maximize your shampoo bar experience. Shampoo bars work best in softer water, however they may also be used in hard water. With hard water you may need to follow with conditioner or vinegar rinse dependent on water mineral content, hair texture, and scalp oil production.

For some people there is an adjustment period that can last up to 2-3 weeks while the hair adjusts to the natural shampoo bar. If your hair is dryer than usual, simply follow with a conditioner. If your hair seems oily, allow it time to adjust as some people produce more sebum (oil) in the first 2-3 weeks after switching from liquid shampoo to a natural shampoo bar.

Using a shampoo bar is slightly different than liquid shampoo. First wet your hair and your hands. Rub the bar between your hands just like a regular bar of soap to activate the lather. For long hair: Rub the soap bar down the length of the wet hair starting from the roots and then use your hands/fingers to further massage the hair to further spread the lather throughout. Short Hair: Simply rub the soap bar on the top of the wet hair and then use your fingers to massage the lather throughout the hair.

Lip Balm & Lotion Stick Usage

The easiest way to use our lip balm and lotion sticks is with their cardboard applicator. Simply use a finger or similar object to gently push the applicator upward to reveal the desired amount of moisturizer for application.

***NOTE*** If your moisturizer gets pushed too far out of the container, don't worry. To fix this issue, hold the applicator and simply tap on a counter or similar surface repeatedly to retract it back into the applicator tube. Do NOT push the cap back down on the lotion/balm until it is fully retracted as your will smash the moisturizer.

For the lotion stick, Apply lightly or liberally to any area of the body needing extra moisturizing. With clean hands simply distribute the lotion in the applied areas using hands/fingers. You may also use fingers or hands to rub the end of the applicator and then use the melted moisturizer on your hands/fingers to apply where needed.

What if my lip balm or lotion stick is melting? During the warmer months or if the tube has become too warm, simply place the tube in the refrigerator until the normal consistency returns. We recommend keeping your lip balm and lotion sticks out of direct sunlight & if possible in a cool place to maximize their life span.

What are my Shipping/Pickup Options?

We offer several options depending on your location and needs:

Domestic Shipments - Shipments within the United States are provided by USPS and are available as Economy & Standard.

Local Delivery - We are happy to directly deliver purchases of $10 or more for a discounted delivery cost to the the surrounding areas, such as the following zip codes: 76226, 76210, 75077, 75022, 75065, 75028, 76207, 76201, 76209, 76208, 76205. This option will show at checkout if you meet the minimum order amount and you are within our delivery zone.

Direct Purchase - Residents of Lantana RV Village or anyone making an in person purchase, please email me your order request and I will deliver your items to you for free and will process your payment upon delivery.

Pickup - Currently we do not have a physical retail store and thus are not able to provide typical store pickup. However, we are happy to arrange a meeting place if you prefer to pick up your items in person and thus avoid a shipping fee. If you are interested in this, please email/call/text us before placing your order and we will do our best to arrange an agreeable location/time/date. We frequently travel throughout Denton, Flower Mound, Lantana, Bartonville, Lewisville, & other surrounding areas.

Can I change my order?

Please contact us as soon as possible with any changes you wish to make. If your order has not already been processed we will do our best to accommodate the requested changes.

Do you accept returns?

Due to the nature of our products, we are unable to accept returns. Please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to resolve any problems which may include replacement or refund.

If you have received a defective/incorrect product, please contact us within 7 days of delivery for refund/replacement.

If your shipment is damaged, please contact us within 3 days of delivery for replacement.
